Developed and presented by experts in their field, the CWB Groups boasts over 18 core products, resource publications and training courses supporting engineers, welding inspectors, supervisors, and welders. Whether you're looking to advance your career, upgrade or simply get better at your job, the CWB Group gives you that opportunity.
Exam Network:
As of April 16, 2012 an invigilator may be used to write the following examinations:
• Module examinations that are part of a home study or an online course;
• All initial certification examinations, except the practical examination for welding inspectors,
• The 6 year code re-examination and for additional code endorsement examinations;
• Code examinations for welding engineers; and
• Applicable qualification examinations for welding supervisors.
Proctoring will only be available by:
• CWB Group employees; and,
• Approved centres, referred to as the "Examination Network"
The "Examination Network" is a group of approved organizations throughout Canada that provide proctoring services. Typically these organizations are colleges, universities and public libraries. The attached document showing approved centres across Canada will be available to clients on our website, which may grow as more approved centres are added.
Students may choose to have a CWB Group employee invigilate the exam, either at their facility or in a CWB office. Or, the student may choose to use an approved "Examination Network" location by submitting the "Exam Request Form" to Client Services. The "Exam Request Form" should identify the Exam Centre being used and the contact person for that location. Please note that it is the student's responsibility to find the invigilating service for their exams.
